February 2005
Sinesio Canseco opened his first location on Metairie Road. Canseco worked his entire life in the grocery business and his dream of owning his own store finally became a reality in February of 2005.
August 2007
Canseco was the first grocery store to the return to the Metairie area after Hurricane Katrina. This is ultimately what helped get Canseco's name out to the public. In August of 2007, he opened a second store on Esplanade Avenue.
May 2009
Canseco opened a third location in Gentilly in May of 2009. He was the first full service grocery store to come back to the area after Hurricane Katrina.
November 2017
Canseco opened a grocery store in his hometown, St. Bernard, in November 2017. Canseco's Arabi is also the first grocery store to come back to the Arabi area.
March 2020
Canseco opened a fifth store on South Carrollton Avenue during the COVID Pandemic. Canseco aims to please his customers with the highest quality products including fresh produce, custom-cut meats, fresh seafood, daily hot line specials, catering services, and a variety of liquor and wines.
